At New Heights Apostolic Church, we believe the house of God should be approached with reverence and that Christians are called to modesty in both conduct and appearance.

For women, we encourage modest, feminine apparel, including dresses and skirts of an appropriate length and fit. Clothing should not be excessively tight, revealing, sheer, or low-cut. We teach women to maintain a biblical distinction between male and female in their apparel.

For men, we encourage modest, masculine apparel that maintains the biblical distinction between men and women. Clothing should be respectful and not excessively tight or revealing.

We understand that everyone who visits may not yet know or practice our standards. Our desire is for everyone entering the house of God to come respectfully and with a heart ready to receive from the Lord.

Yes. We believe holiness is an essential part of the Christian life. Holiness begins within the heart and should be reflected outwardly through our character, conversation, conduct, relationships, entertainment, and appearance.

We believe that after receiving the Holy Ghost, believers should continually allow the Word of God to wash, sanctify, correct, and transform their lives.

We believe in the Apostolic plan of salvation proclaimed in Acts 2:38: repentance, baptism by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.

We believe the initial biblical evidence of receiving the Holy Ghost is speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.

Yes. We believe in one God and that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. We believe that the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily in Him and that Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God.

Membership at New Heights represents more than simply attending services. Membership signifies that an individual has embraced the Apostolic faith and desires to come under the teaching, fellowship, and spiritual leadership of this local assembly.

To become a member, an individual must have obeyed the Apostolic plan of salvation by repenting, being baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and being baptized with the Holy Ghost according to Acts 2:38.

Jesus taught that we must be born of both water and Spirit:

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” — John 3:5 KJV

We believe this new-birth experience is demonstrated in the book of Acts through baptism in Jesus’ name and receiving the Holy Ghost.

Members are also expected to continue growing in the Word of God, pursuing holiness, supporting the work of the ministry, fellowshipping with the body, and striving to live a life that represents Jesus Christ.

No. You do not have to be a member to attend our worship services. We welcome those who sincerely desire to hear the Word of God, worship with us, and learn more about the Apostolic faith.

Membership, however, is reserved for those who have embraced and obeyed the Apostolic doctrine and meet the membership requirements of the church.

Yes. We baptize by complete immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, following the practice of the apostles.

We believe God is still calling, equipping, and sending men and women to labor in His Kingdom according to the gifts and callings He has placed upon their lives.

Yes. At New Heights Apostolic Church, we believe that Jesus Christ is coming again for His Church. We believe in the catching away of the saints, commonly referred to as the Rapture, and that believers should live prayerfully, faithfully, and in holiness as we await His return.

Yes. We believe prayer and fasting are important spiritual disciplines in the life of a believer. Jesus taught concerning both prayer and fasting, and we believe they help believers humble themselves, seek God, discipline the flesh, and become more sensitive to His will.

To be born of water is to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, and to be born of the Spirit is to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost, with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4).

We believe the New Birth produces a new life. After being born again, the believer is called to continue growing in Christ, allowing the Holy Ghost and the Word of God to transform, sanctify, and lead them into a life of holiness.

We are called Apostolic because we desire to continue in the doctrine taught and practiced by the apostles of Jesus Christ.

For us, being Apostolic is more than a denomination or title. It describes our commitment to the Apostolic doctrine, the Apostolic message of salvation, the power of the Holy Ghost, holiness, prayer, spiritual gifts, and carrying the Gospel to the world.

Why is your church called Pentecostal?

We are Pentecostal because we believe the experience recorded on the Day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2 was not limited to the early Church.

We believe the Holy Ghost is still being poured out, people are still being filled with the Spirit, and the promise remains available today.

“For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off…”

We are Apostolic in doctrine, Pentecostal in experience, and committed to living holy as we prepare for the coming of Jesus Christ.

At New Heights Apostolic Church, we believe in the biblical pattern of one husband and one wife and that marriage is a sacred covenant that should be honored and kept faithfully.

Jesus taught:

“And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,

And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?”

We believe a husband is called to be faithful to his wife, and a wife is called to be faithful to her husband. Scripture particularly requires those serving in spiritual leadership to demonstrate faithfulness in marriage:

“Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.”
